Outreach
Our outreach programs offer a unique opportunity for students to engage with their creative selves and develop a practical approach to acting.
In the spirit of curiosity and play, students work together in class settings and structured rehearsals. Classes consist of scene studies, guided improvisations, animal & mask work, and theatre games; rehearsals center on an abridged Shakespeare production or a devised performance piece based on a play from the canon.
Since the first Summer Intensive in 2020, our outreach programming has impacted students from public and private schools across the island.
Theatre Games
Every game is a play; and every play is a game.
These various team-oriented drama games encourage a lively and daring approach to theatre, while also instilling foundational acting skills.
Improvisation
The imagination is the actor’s most powerful tool.
These mental and physical exercises will teach students to follow their creative impulses, helping them to hone more honest performances.
Shakespeare
Shakespeare is a fundamental of actor training.
Through rehearsing and performing Shakespeare, students will learn the foundations of text analysis, and develop an informed approach to storytelling.
